15 Animal Idioms (Part 3)

Hi, welcome back to this blog, I have 5 more animal idioms. Here they are.

1.       Kutu loncat (hopping flea)

An employee who switches job fast

Example:

Tono adalah seorang kutu loncat, mungkin sebentar lagi dia akan keluar dari perusahaan ini dan bekerja di perusahaan lain.

2.       Lintah darat (land leech)

Loan shark; a moneylender who charges extremely high rates of interest, typically under illegal conditions.

Example:
Janganlah kamu berhutang kepada lintah darat supaya tidak tambah susah hidupmu.

3.       Malu-malu kucing (cat shy)

Someone who is too shy to do or accept anything, in spite of really wanting to.

Example:

Jangan malu-malu kucing, ambil saja kue itu semuanya.

4.       Otak udang (shrimp brain)

Stupid

Example:
Dia cantik tapi otak udang, jadi aku tidak tertarik.

5.       Tidur ayam (chicken sleep)

A short nap

Example:

Di kantor tadi saya sempat tidur ayam selama 20 menit.
